This pattern represents what I love about winter, keeping warm and cozy with some coffee, tea, or hot chocolate! This pattern would make a great mugrug for the holiday season! You could also put multiple blocks together for a fun table runner or wall hanging. Have fun with fabric choices on this block! Go with low volume prints for a white cup, or fun red prints for the holidays! In my sample block, I used selvedges for the coffee sleeve, but you can use regular fabrics just as easily. To make the selvedge sleeve, place selvedges on a scrap of woven interfacing (I used Pellon SF101). Iron the selvedges to the interfacing, then stitch them down close to the edges. Then use your "made fabric" as usual! I'd love to see what you do with this pattern! Tag me on Instagram @tessaraewilliams and use the hashtag #thatredcuppattern.
