The Swift Wreath pattern was inspired by the swifts that pass through on their way from Southern Australia on their migration to south east Asia and up to Russia. I"ve watched their ducking and diving for insects my whole life and this pattern is meant to reflect their wings bent back and swooping through after a bug. The pattern includes instructions on the constructions of half square triangles (HST) and flying geese, for those that may not have made them before. It is a quick project that would look lovely in a child's bedroom, in Christmas fabric as a 'wreath", or as a welcoming wall hanging in the living room. After being unable to work due to illness, my mother pestered me into sewing a quilt. It soon became an obsession and I have now been sewing since April 2012.
