Pattern Details

Ahoy! Our foundation paper-pieced pattern makes constructing "Storm at Sea" blocks a breeze! This classic pattern will work well with either modern or traditional quilt designs, depending upon your fabric choices. The paper-pieced 7" by 7" square storm at sea block could be used to make a quilt, wall hanging, mug rug, or tote bag. We used storm at sea blocks in our "Reef Explorer" quilt, shown above. Ms. P Designs USA
Sharon Andersen and Susan Hatcher are sisters as well as co-owners of Ms. P Designs USA. We collaborate to create these adorable patterns to share with you. We've been sewing since we were little girls growing up on the family farm in Montana, and both of us began quilting about 30 years ago. The idea of Ms P Designs was born when we decided that it would be fun to design quilting patterns together. It took some time, and lots of encouragement (from our spouses, children, and each other), for us to be ready to publish our designs, but Ms P Designs USA was eventually launched, and here we are today! :) Our themed animal applique quilts are inspired by the diversity of life on Earth. We choose familiar animals for each quilt, but also include a few species that are not as well-known, but still interesting and unusual. We also create unique foundation paper pieced patterns, including blocks that feature vehicles, ships, and other designs that you won't find anywhere else! We have so many fun ideas, and can hardly wait to get started on our next designs to share with you! We hope that you will love our patterns as much as we love creating them for you. If you have questions regarding our patterns, please contact us via email: Happy Quilting! Ms. P
