I wanted to design and make a special Christmas Stocking. I asked my husband (an artist and former high school art teacher) to draw the kind of Santa I wanted. I was delighted with his drawing and with creating this special applique. A delightful, large, roomy, stocking pattern, it has no visible seams on the inside. As a special bonus, directions for making a quicker version, using a great Christmas fabric instead of appliques, is included. I am sorry, but we cannot sell to Europe nor any other countries involved with the EU VAT. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Should have previous experience with machine or hand appliqu. As a child, I watched my Mom sew and my grandmother make crochet chains. Then, in 7th and 8th grade, I took what were then called Home Economics classes, and learned more about sewing and knitting. Afterwards, I continued learning on my own, mostly through books, and later TV programs, and online. In 2001, I became a quilt and web designer, and a quilt teacher. I am a co-founder and past Editor-in-Chief of The Quilt Pattern Magazine , and owner of the Quilts for Sale website, where I provide a venue for quilters to sell their quilted items . I sell my quilt patterns here on Craftsy's pages.
