Do you like all the paper-pieced star patterns around but aren't keen on paper piecing? Or maybe you only have an hour to spare. Then this mug rug pattern is just what you need - there isn't a paper-pieced seam in sight. Using quick fuse applique the Patchsmith Star goes together quickly and easily making it the perfect quick-make project. This pattern is so versatile and is one of those rare mug rugs that would also work well as a gift for a guy. You can make the points from the same fabric or different fabrics, fussy cut the centre or use a ditzy pattern, place the star on linen, cotton, plain or patterned fabric - the choices are endless. There are also three choices for the sidebar - you can opt for a simple horizontal bar that matches your star (as shown in the red and turquoise mug rug photo), apply a checkerboard option or test your patchwork with the pinwheel sidebar (as shown in the blue and grey photo). All three options come with full colour diagrams and easy to follow instructions. . The Patchsmith Star panel also works as a stand-alone 6" block and would be suitable for a quilt, table runner, or cushion panel. This really is one lovely little pattern that will shine in your pattern library and one that you will return to time-and-time again. This pattern is for personal use but permission is also granted to make this item to sell provided the item is handmade by you and you credit the Patchsmith for the design. No mass production allowed. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Size before quilting 8.5" x 6.5"
