A fiercely proud Canadian and quilter, I set out to make an "anatomically correct" maple leaf block. It is in direct proportion to our national flag. You can make each block scrappy - piece the coloured parts - or make it simple and use a single fabric per block. No two quilts will be alike and I encourage you to add colours and style to make it your own. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Basic Quilting Skills - sewing a straight, 1/4'' seam, pressing, and cutting SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Make 1 block or make a whole quilt! Pattern includes the block instructions and layout options, with fabric requirements for all of it.

Supplies Needed

  • Scraps of fabric in a single colour way plus a white fabric, freezer paper, sewing machine, scissors, iron, and rotary cutter with mat.
