Pattern Details

I designed this pattern for the My Happy Place Row Along organized by Marian Pena of Seams to be Sew. My favorite place is My Happy Sewing Room. All I have to do is walk into it and I am happy! The wall hanging is pieced using squares, rectangles and triangles. This pattern features both the longer wall hanging and the smaller one with just the sewing machine block. The longer one would be perfect for the wall or on the door of your sewing room. The 12" sewing machine block could be used in any sampler quilt featuring 12" finished blocks or you could also add two of your favorite 12" blocks to either side of the machine block and make a table runner. Add borders as you did for the long wall hanging and you could have a smaller wall hanging or pillow.

I have been sewing since I was 11 years old. I absolutely love it! I loved it so much that I opened a fabric shop which was open for almost 22 years. I have now retired and am having even more time to sew! I really enjoy designing patterns and I hope that you will enjoy them too! If you would like to see more of what I'm sewing, please check out my blog: or you can like Happy Sewing Room on Facebook. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at Thank you, Jean
