Mirror Mirror is a log-cabin variation, designed to look like two nested oval rings. It sews up easily, and makes a lovely, cheerful quilt top! I've shown two versions of this quilt, with two very different looks. One of the versions has been made up using scrappy flowered fabric. The other version - a baby quilt, is made with bright fabric in the colors of a rainbow-perfect for when you aren't sure if it's a little boy or a little girl you are quilting for! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Basic sewing skills, Rotary cutting skills, Straight piecing SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Crib Quilt (37" x 43") Lap Quilt (49" x 57") Twin/Single Quilt (73" x 85") Full/Double Quilt (85" x 85") Queen Quilt (97" x 99") King Quilt (109" x 99")

Supplies Needed

  • You will need one background/sashing fabric. I've used white in my quilt.
  • You will also need scraps for the rings - the rings are fat-quarter friendly!
  • Small scale prints work best.

I grew up in India, I've lived in 3 countries, in 6 different cities before putting down roots in Toronto. I've been quilting since I was 16 - my first project was a Double Irish Chain. Inspired by many awesome sewing blogs, I've been sewing garments since 2006. When traveling, I've always taken pictures of patterns, mosaic, tile, rangolis - they serve as quilting inspiration. The Global Nomad Quilt Company came about as a way of sharing this inspiration with you. I blog about the Global Nomad Quilt Company at I blog about garment sewing at
