This is the tenth block in my Grandma Town Row by Row Block of the Month Quilt Series - Chicken and Egg. Grandma Town is filled with quilt blocks that remind me of my childhood visiting Grandma on her farm in rural Iowa. Grandma raised chickens, ducks, geese and little banny hens. She had a favorite chicken, a large red hen she named Molly. She laid lovely bluish grey eggs regularly for Grandma. We also had the best sunday chicken dinners and I am glad I did not realize where they came from. LOL Here's to Molly and the fun memories of chickens on the farm. You will need 6 chicken block and 5 egg blocks for the row of the quilt. Look for a new block each month. New blocks are free for the first month.
