Pattern Details

Cascade is a great modern quilt pattern loaded with extras! Perfect for large scale prints by Kaffe Fassett or Amy Butler. This pattern includes two basic versions. Choose either a scrappy eclectic look or a controlled geometric zigzag look. If doing things your way is your style, then use the Design Explorations page to jump start your own unique version. This page illustrates 7 additional ways you can make entirely different looking quilts from the same basic design. There's even a quilt outline that allows you to fill in your own color choices. Cascade is a versatile pattern sized to work with layer cakes, large scraps, fat quarters or yardage. It looks great made with solids, all scale of prints, or a combination of solids and prints. Variety is key to the scrappy version. A controlled color/value palette is key to the ZigZag version. Pattern includes guidelines for selecting fabrics along with detailed illustrations and easy-to-follow sewing tips. Plus, when you follow my easy-to-sew directions, you'll have extra pieced blocks made from the trimmed leftovers to make a bonus pillow using the included directions. Or if you prefer, make a mini quilt that goes with the main quilt. Cascade has so many possibilities you'll want to make more than one!
