PATTERN DETAILS

This table runner features a new block design, "Love is in the Cards." It is foundation-paper-pieced for ease and accuracy. In this sweet rendition, the hearts are shown in two colors and are set against a light print background. You could also make them scrappy, choosing a different print for each of the hearts in each block. Or, mix it up even more with different pastel prints for the hearts, like those you would find in a bag of candy hearts. Full-size templates for the paper-piecing foundations are provided for the blocks in this fully illustrated pattern. Directions for a set of four placemats and napkins are included to complement the runner. I am a published sewing and quilting author with several books and many magazine articles to my credit. My most recent book, How to Make a Quilt was published in August 2014 by Storey Publishing. I've written two other successful books for them-- The Quilting Answer Book and The Sewing Answer Book. I learned to sew from my great grandmother, two grandmothers, and my Mom when I was barely in grade school and I've been sewing ever since. I added quilting to my repertoire in the 1980s and worked for a major quilt book publisher as Managing Editor and then Editor-in-Chief for 5 years. Now I have my own business, designing quilts and tote bags and anything else that strikes my fancy. Go to www.joyofsewingandquilting.blogspot.com to see my projects and whatever else I'm up to. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find something you'd like to make in my Craftsy store!
