A few stolen moments of quiet and solitude to curl up with a good book and a soothing drink can be pure bliss. A colorful book themed mini quilt is a great gift for any book lover. It will brighten a desktop or become a snack mat for a favorite reading spot. Make one and you'll want another. Pull out a variety of bits and pieces from your scrap bin and create a whole library. Made with fusible web applique, these mug rugs go together surprisingly fast. The pattern includes step by step instructions with photos, full size templates for the appliques, a full size layout plan, and clear photos of the free motion quilting stitches I used on six mug rugs in different color ways. When I retired from a lifetime of teaching in 2007, I was worried that I'd quickly get bored. That concern didn't last long at all. I was thrilled to discover that there really is life outside of the classroom. I spend parts of most of my days indulging in my favorite hobbies of quilting and sewing. I started designing patterns as an experiment, and no one was more surprised than I was to find that other people liked my little designs. I'm a teacher at heart, so I do try to write my patterns in such a way that beginning quilters can follow them. I include lots of details, photos, and little informative notes. I make myself easily available to my customers, and I respond to all questions as quickly and as thoroughly as I can. Contact Information: Blog:, Facebook Page:, Email:
