On SALE for a limited time! This is my interpretation of the lovely old Baltimore Album Quilts of the mid 19th century. Only I've modernized it, using up-to-the-minute techniques and... the sewing machine! Of course, you can make this quilt with all hand applique, but I've made mine using machine methods. And instead of those wonderful Baltimore landmarks, I've included some from here in my home state of California. I encourage you to make your own version on this quilt, including your state bird and other details from your own area. So follow the pattern faithfully or add your own touches and your own blocks... Just make a quilt that you (and/or your recipient!) will love for years to come. This quilt is destined to be an heirloom so don't rush it. But this is truly a Baltimore Album that you can actually make. Now I'll give you fair warning that the blocks get more involved as we go along, finishing off with a fruit bowl jam-packed with ready-to-eat goodness. But by the time you get there, you'll be up to the challenge! And the borders are done in my easy to do Borders on Blocks technique, so don't get intimidated by any part of this project. I hope you have a grand time as Baltimore Comes To California! Send me a picture when you've finished! Make A Great Quilt! Lyn Brown PS. File is 40 pages +.
