PATTERN DETAILS

Living in Alaska, the winters can get pretty long. I look forward to hearing the sound of the yellow crested sparrow sing "Summers Here" or at least that's what it sounds like it is singing! This charming baby quilt is made up of familiar birds that we know and love such as a cardinal, yellow crested sparrow ,lovebirds, owls, and morning doves. It also has four blocks of whimsical birdhouses. One block has a summer scene with a flowering tree, colorful fence and a cute little birdhouse perched on the fence. It is an easy quilt to make using fusible web and colorful pastel cotton fabrics. The quilt measures 40" x 49" with 12 nine inch blocks. There is a fabric chart with each block key that will give you suggestions for fabrics along with the amount needed to make that block. Make sure you have a color cartridge in your printer before downloading BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY basic stitch using fusible web SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 40" x 49" This includes adding the binding after the quilt has been quilted

Thanks for taking a peek at my shop, KinderGarden Designs. I love making quilts, but my real passion is designing them. Designing unique patterns that would appeal to the imagination of a child inspires me. I was in education for 17 years with a degree in early childhood education. I taught kindergarten for 10 of those years, hence the name KinderGarden Designs. I have a beautiful little granddaughter Sydney, who has inspired many of the quilts I've designed. I would love to see a picture of your quilt when your project is complete. It's fun to see the fabric patterns and colors that make the quilt uniquely yours. Vikki
