What materials did you use? Fabric, colored pencils

What are you most proud of? I am happy with the coloring...shading and highlighting and the overrall blends of the colors. My son Travis helped me by showing me various shading techniques. I also am very happy with the effect of the quilting design. Tiny circles took a long time but I learned a lot about how various approaches work.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't be afraid to over-shade or over-highlight. Often times I find I am too timid. Also, practice coloring (something I really enjoy doing); it really helps to understand how your pencils work.

This is one beautiful piece of thread art. It looks like a picasso to me. Be proud because I am so proud of you. Gorgeous.

Thanks, Lola. My 16-year-old son gave me a lesson in coloring, blending, shading and highlighting. I am completely hooked!

This is really beautifull. It looks like it's been painted.

Absolutely wonderful, I love the way you designed the layout, quilted the piece and colored it. Lovely!

Love this. It looks like it's done on concrete or posed in front of a pebbled wall. Impreciable.
