What are you most proud of? I love the way this block looks against a dark background.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Relax! Take your time and have fun. Lay out all the pieces on the background before you do any fusing.

I really like this - so unusual! When you've finished the quilt, please do post a picture of it because it's going to be drop-dead gorgeous!

Thanks so much, Desna. I need to get back to my quilt top. It is nearly finished. I just need to add a few border elements.

Hi Jennifer. I bought your pattern and can hardly wait to play with the strippy flower quilt block. It reminds me of the spoon carved flower and leaf pattern in the woodwork blocks on our window and door trim--we have an old Victorian 1893. Thank you so much for offering your strippy flowers quilt block pattern. I love it.

Oh, that sounds lovely! I have made this block with a variety of different fabrics. It is fun to do. I would love to see a pic of your home & trim, if you wouldn't mind. I live in an 1850's farmhouse myself. I love old homes.
