What materials did you use? 4-Way VERY stretchy Lycra fabric (reminded me of lightweight bathing suit fabric), 1/4" elastic, usual notions, pattern New Look #6940.

What are you most proud of? Using the 4-way stretchy fabric and it coming out so nice and the cool coverstitching on the hem!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Dont be afraid to use super stretchy fabric on this pattern! It was a true pleasure to make!

Sure! It is New Look #6940 View E. You will LOVE sewing this top! Even with that super stretchy fabric it was a very enjoyable project! There was just something about the way it is laid out and goes together that made it just a real pleasure to sew! ENJOY!

That is a lovely top. Well done. Does the pattern give a good fit? Have you got a serger, sewing FOUR way stretch.

Hi! The pattern gave a terrific fit right out of the package with no tinkering at all! I wear a size L-XL in RTW tops and 12 in jeans and really the fit was VERY good! I have a serger, BUT, I sewed everything with a plain straight stitch and serged all the edges for a clean, professional finish and it is wearing just wonderfully! I did, however hem using a coverstitch machine that I just HAD to have after seeing one on Angela's class! LOL!

Thanx! You would love how this fabric feels on your skin! Feels really silky without the silk!
