What materials did you use? I used 100% cotton fabric and 80/20 wadding.

I made this huge star quilt at a two-day workshop for my sister-in-law's 50th birthday but only had the confidence to quilt it after watching your video. It is the largest project I have done so far on my domestic machine but now have the confidence to try more. I used a walking foot and drew lines on with a ruler and a heat-removable pen as my free-motion work is not very good yet. Test pens on a scrap of dark fabric first as it could leave a feint line. It was ok on light fabric.

Beautiful quilt! Such a wonderful gift for your sister! And I'm so glad you are gaining confidence in handling a larger quilt!

Love the color scheme. Love the effect of the straight line quilting.

The fabric was from the Civil War range.
