What are you most proud of? I like the colors, and the ribbon of black all over, but mostly, I am proud that I finally dared to Free Motion Quilt most of the project. I did some straight quilting, and stitching in the ditch around the black ribbon, but the open areas, I tried my hand at FMQ. I think I did good - Not great - but well enough to get me excited and looking forward to doing FMQ on my future projects. I am going to give this to my mom as an early Christmas present - I can't wait until December! He he he.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Choose bright colors with a bit of print and variation in the color. Batiks worked beautifully. Think out the colors, and as always, just take your time and enjoy the process of making this. I certainly did.

Really love this pattern Quilt Dude and want to try it when I have time - You have done a beautiful job and I am sure your mother will love this. Batiks are magic aren't they. Love your quilting too - I am no longer surprised at the beautiful work you do. Congratulations on another stunning piece.
