What materials did you use? The person I made this for doesn't like traditional baby colors, and she's from the South. I decided to dig in to my Civil War reproduction fabrics, which gives the quilt a more traditional look. Thanks to 505 adhesive, I was able to get the quilting done easily.

What are you most proud of? I designed it and completed it myself, my first quilt. Now I have the courage to move on to quilt #2.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? i made a quilt of 9 x 10 squares, although some of the Beatrix Potter squares were made up of 2. Although I like the Potter squares, it made layout of the squares more complicated, and I couldn't use strips as I'd planned. Plan well.

Congratulations on such a beautiful baby quilt. Your choice of fabrics is excellent. I enjoyed reading how you chose fabrics based on your client's wishes and especially because you chose Civil War reproduction fabrics--making this quilt one that stands out from all the rest. I'm going to stand up now, and give you a round of applause. You deserve it! I'll be watching for your next quilt post.
