What materials did you use? heavy weight cotton for pillow anchor fabric and back an old t-shirt cut into strips for the ruffles

What are you most proud of? It doesn't look like the ruffles are made from an old t-shirt, and I remembered how to sew a zipper placket for the back of the pillow.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Have fun playing with the ruffles. They don't have to be perfectly ruffled, perfectly sewn in the middle or even perfectly spaced. Also, be aware of your seam allowances around the edges when you place your ruffles on the anchor fabric.

Your pillow is unique and should be easy to rest your head on it. What a lovely way to up-cycle an old t-shirt! Nice pillow!
