What materials did you use? I cannot remember the name of this fabric but it is sort of a thicker silky fabric, not thin...it has body. Like a crepe.

What are you most proud of? The way the fabric flows. I cut it right with no short-cuts or mistakes and it flows so nicely.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Read the pattern carefully, and do not sew unless you understand the directions completely.

I am working on the skirt now so when it is done, I will have the two posted. Then the jacket and if I can find someone to model it...those pictures will be posted too.

I also need to add the trim that goes in the center of the gathers. Please check back for the finished project pictures.

Oooo! I can't wait to see the rest of the garments! I love that you're using your serger's capabilities to make it extra fancy. I think you could have a lot of fun with gold or silver metallic thread in your loopers- it'd be awesome!

I am experiencing a loose thread on the underside of the serger sewing and I am not sure which way to change the dial.

Could you post a photo of it along with an explanation of how you have your tensions set currently as a class question? I'll be able to help and answer you over there.

I wanted to say that I took this class and without your help, I would have never been able to return to that machine to use it. You carefully explained about the upper and bottom looper and without having seen this class, I just would have had to return the machine. Since taking the class, I have used the machine quite a bit to make blankets and also to alter clothing. Your explanation was perfect and I sincerely appreciate your class and your manner of teaching. I hope to take another class with you. THANK YOU so much!!! You are a darling person, very sincere and caring.
