What are you most proud of? the shading on the legs

What advice would you give someone starting this project? keep at it, glazing layers are fun but have a learning curve!

Try to focus on lights and darks. The sky and trees, in the back ground can be a lot more lighter shades, so that things in the foreground POP out more.

Proportions on the arms. Shading will help that. Light. where is the light coming from? Good start. Please post the finished painting.

shading...and perspective...I have never liked perfect..that is to me..not interesting...but shading and balance so your eye doesnt leave the subject matter is important...such a sweet painting...I love it

This is looking good! To get a bit more accuracy in the proportion you might try using a smaller grid when transferring the drawing as it will give you more control.
