Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: Gum paste for flowers and letters. Butter cream frosting. Materials specified in James Roselle's class for Exotic Sugar Orchids. Loved that class.

What are you most proud of? My first attempt at a wedding cake. A great deal of room for improvement but I was proud of it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Three main things are needed. Patience, confidence and determination!

Well done.

Thank you so much! This was my first attempt at any kind of wedding cake. Bake cakes all the time for other occasions but I am terrified of spoiling someone's day with a wedding cake gone wrong. :)

I Understand completely! My daughter in law and I did her wedding cake and we are very new at this (it's posted...cymbidium orchids)...stressful! Came out great, I'm so afraid my nephew will ask for the same reason. Your cake really looks beautiful. I'm sure your daughter lived it!
