What are you most proud of? I'm proud to have completed my first art quilt and I did like the way the rocks looked.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Keep it simple to start with; try using a subject matter that you are familiar with, which in this case was fishing and mountains. My perspective was off for this quilt though. I probably need to angle the stream around the small waterfalls. I wanted a long narrow piece and a diagonal stream didn't look right to me when I put it on the background. The embellishing and quilting definitely did give dimension and character though. Overall, I just tried some different effects to see what might work and what I would do differently.

Your Rocky Mountain stream is wonderful. I love the motion and flow you created with the embellishment and slippery trout. Experimenting with quilting texture in the back ground added importance to the stream. What a treasure!
