What materials did you use? I spun this yarn from hemp top purchased from Opulent Fibers. The colors were so rich and deep that I was afraid it would bleed but even though I wet spun the fiber there was barely a blush of color on my hands with 2 of the colors. The others left no color. I was impressed!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? This fiber can be either wet or dry spun but if dry spun, it will be a little bit fuzzy and hairy. Wetting your fingers and the singles just after drafting gives a much smoother yarn. It sticks down the loose bits and the plying holds them in. I used a whorl ratio of 11:1 on the wheel.

These are beautiful, wonderful job of spinning. I am with you, I would like to just appreciate them for a while. Please show us what you do with them when you decide. Thank you so much for sharing.

Your spun yarn is impeccable! I haven't spun in years, but I did enjoy it when I did. I will have to check out your book. Thank you for sharing.
