What are you most proud of? I really do like this little bag. I planned it out in my head over several days. The vision was there and this looks just like I'd imagined. I measured, cut , and designed as I sewed, constantly making little adjustments, but I miscalculated the exact size.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Patience!

Oh mom, you are really twisting my arm. Did I ever mention green and pink are my favorite colors? Beautiful piece again.~~~~ Gee, I do crochet, knit, cook, gardening, crafts with recycled items, but never got into sewing, shame on me.

I chose the fabric for my sister-in-law because those are her favorite colors, too. Green and pink must run in the family. I envy your skills with yarn as mine are very rudimentary. My mother began teaching me to sew as soon as I was old enough to hold a needle, but I didn't learn to knit or crochet till after I was married and though my crochet is passable, my knitting is terribly uneven. You need to come to my house. I've been teaching a group of friends how to sew and quilt. One has become completely independent with quilting and is turning out beautiful quilts one after the other.

Wow mom, thanks, for a beautiful comment, but I consider myself an "apprentice" My late mother used to do all sort of crafts and so beautiful, but with me, being the 4th daughter, she gave up un teaching, when realized my elder sisters never learned. So, I learned on my own, even I got crazy enough to do a blazer and some other little things on sewing, but working an average of 15 hrs as an accountant, I decided to keep only yarn projects, which I carry with me all the time, for "blank" spaces on my agenda, hehe

Yarn is definitely easier to carry around than a sewing machine. I taught school for 35 years and there really weren't any "blank" spaces in my day that I could fill. Since I retired I've been doing my best to make up for lost time.

Awesome !!! I love it...are you going to be sharing the pattern with us ?

Glad you like it. Originally, I had thought I'd make a pattern to put up, but I had to make so many changes along the way that I gave up on the thought. I am going to try a small one and I'll try to make it a bit simpler. If that works out I will put up a pattern - just because you asked. :)

I really don't see how you come up with all these things. That had to be complicated. I admire you for being able to do it. You really have talent.

More like I've had well over half a century of practice.

You are such a talent, and I just LOVE your bag! It matches the other one you made! The fabric is beautiful. Another great job!

Thank you. I think I got carried away because the fabric was on sale for next to nothing. I'll likely get another bag or two out of it - one for each of the family females.
