What materials did you use? Full O' Sheep Yarn (Worsted Weight) and 6mm hook for the child size. 5mm hook and slightly finer (but still labeled ww) yarn for baby size.

What are you most proud of? Its really warm and really looks like a football. And the Bomber Baby Size in blue and gold is adorable!

I am a part of a football loving family that would just adore these in their favorite team's color. Nice!!

Thank you. I love the Blue and Gold in the Winnipeg Blue Bomber Baby hat. Unfortunately, me next grand-baby isn't due until late November and football season is almost over by then here in Canada. LOL

This one has been a big hit with the boys. They won't wear anything too cute but this one they like.

How can I make it? I don't see the project, or am I too late?

Is there any way to get the pattern for the child's football hat?

12/26/2011 Flag

I put the link to the pattern above. Just use a worsted weight yarn and a 5 or 5.5 mm hook to get a size that will fit a child about 4-10 years old. You might want to add an extra row or two in length before putting the flaps on if it is for a larger head child. Hope that helps.

Can you please send the instructions or link again, I cannot open the link above

I'm sorry you were unable to open the link. Just google "free crochet child earflap hat pattern" and it will pop up. Then just use my picture as a guide to make it look like a football. I did my first ro of contrast striping on my first row after the increase rows. Both stripes are two rows of hdc. The second stripe is the last two rows before beginning the ear flaps. I did the single crochet border in the main colour. Hope all this helps!
