What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be very careful when applying the fondant vertically. Use a rolling pin of some kind or large dowel to do so. Grip firmly so that the fondant doesn't slip away from the dowel or roller pin. Be sure to use at least four inner dowels for cake support. It is a good idea to actually have one of the cakes remain on a board. It stabilizes the tower. Place four spaced dowels into the bottom cake before adding the second cake. When stacking, place the second cake on a board before stacking it.
