I really am, Marilee! I haven't gotten past the earring lesson because I am fixated on them - they are pretty and have so many possibilities. I am already accruing a colorful thread stash so I can continue to play with color. I will go forward soon in our Craftsy class, as I want to learn more skills so I can make the gorgeous things in your book. Already people have picked out necklaces and so forth they would like made for them. :)

Wow! I'm inspired! Just got an old shuttle from my mother -- I'm excited to get started--hope I'm as successful as you!

Where do you find a shuttle for tatting?

The sites that Marilee provides for supplies are great. In particular, I love the Handy Hands site, , Be-Stitched, , and I am very impressed with the service at, if you have a Michael's store near you, I was scanning the needlecraft supply aisle and spotted a pair of plastic shuttles by Clover, which are the main kind I use, along with Aerolit shuttles. The websites are ones dedicated to tatting. Good luck!

If you live near a "Hobby Lobby" store, they usually carry tatting shuttles in stock. There are many websites online to order tatting supplies from, too. One of the largest is Handy Hands Tatting
