Beautiful! Was the green trees and alligator cut out and fused on?

Yes, the entire pattern was cut as one piece, very meticuloulsy, and then fused on to the background fabric. Then I stitched on the edges of all the appliqued fabric. The pattern instructions did not say to do the stitching but that is what I wanted to do. Then I machine quilted in the background areas. My challenge was getting used to a new sewing machine midway in the quilt making. Thank you for your gracious comment.
