Do you sell this cake? No, just for fun

Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: I created a number of different flowers from royal icing: violets, apple blossoms, roses, primroses, wild roses. For some, I used the brush striping method that Beth demonstrated to add a little color to the petal edge. The cake was torted and filled with raspberry jam, then iced with buttercream frosting. I used a basket weave technique around the cake, then placed my flowers to partially cover the top, flowing down one side of the cake in a cascade.

What are you most proud of? The way the flowers drape over the edge of the cake and the harmony of color.

You did an excellent job, reflecting all you learned in this class. Good job.

This is lovely! You should be very, very proud of this cake. All of the flowers look perfect, and the colors work really well together.
