Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: I created this cake while taking Colette's awesome Advanced Workshop 3 day class at the Wilton School. It includes brush embroidery which I attempted just once before when taking this Craftsy class. I really enjoy doing this technique, and I am sure I will be using it a lot more.

Beautiful how did you get the ridges on the second tier on the top of the cake

I made a template and cut pieces from the top and side of the cake to make the wavy edge. Actually all three tiers have the same technique used on them, they are just not as noticeable in this shot. E

Thanks so much Colette. I truly enjoyed your Advanced Workshop course-- I learned a tremendous amount of information and techniques in just a few days. You are such a creative inspiration for me!

Very lovely cake. Did you sell it or was it for a family occasion
