What materials did you use? my own painted canvas, buttons, stitching, cord, cotton fabric, bag hardware

What are you most proud of? The painting/fabric was quite thick in places and therefore difficult to work with. I guess I'm proud that I was able to pull it off even if it isn't perfect. Oh well, I already have pieces waiting for the next one.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take your time!

I love how creative you were with using the painted canvas for your bag!!! The bag would make a great focal point for a simple outfit. I am curious to know the measurements of the bag. Also, is it a cross-body bag?

Thank you, BeaSewGood. The bag is smallish. It measures 8.5" w x 6.5" high, give or take. And yes, it's supposed to be a cross-body bag (my favorite). Totally hands-free. That's why for the next one I'll only attach one strap. Oh, and also make the bag itself a bit larger.

This is so cool. I LOVE that you painted your own fabric - that's just awesome. Great job :)
