Macro and Focus Stacking

What is exciting or interesting to you about your photo(s)? Initially my objective was to capture the beauty of a perfect Cosmo flower. I plucked one from the backyard and placed it in a tiny blue vase. I loved how the bubbles were forming along the green stem and I decided to change the objective of a couple images to focus on the bubbles.

  • I used a Canon 100mm macro lens on a sturdy tripod. For the backside of the flower I took a series of exposures at varying focal lengths and blended them in Photoshop to get a final image with everything in sharp focus. I am very happy with the results and glad I had the opportunity to try this technique.
