What are you most proud of? I was very happy to use the pages in an earth friendly manner, and to do so with the simplest techniques I could create while sharing my love of art. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make lots of quilled coils before beginning your box. I have created the coils in a unique way, I tore the pages with a straight edge, no scissor work involved. I them folded the strips lengthwise and glued the folds together. I then coiled the paper very tightly and secured the ends with glue, and put the coil into a kind of mold I created from old plastic gridwork to hold the tension and shape while they dried. I also kept some of the most beautiful eyes and lips and folded them into tablet forms and secured them with glue and clothespins while they dried. When I realized that it would take a lot of time (fun time) I started a systematic process to make a lot of coils. I first tore the strips, and sorted them into basic colors. I also payed attention to the strips, which are of many different sizes, and picked out the ones which were special. Those I used to accent the design. This is a great project to do while watching tv or listening to music!
