Quilled Gingerbread House

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I love how the candies came out. I love how they look "in quilled form." The graham cracker sidewalk with the gummy candies and hershey kisses lining it, the sugary sweets all over the roof, and the tootsie rolls siting next to the gummy bear. The candies along the windows and over the front door and back window, I think they all came out great! And I love the tree lights, if I can find at least one thing each Christmas to drape quilled christmas tree lights on, then I'm happy ;) What advice would you give someone starting this project? I took extensive notes as I was making everything, so if I want to make another to give as a gift, or make more to sell at a craft show, I can turn back to those notes and either make one exactly like this, or (more probably) just a little bit different so neither one is exactly the same. When I do end up making another, if I make something new for that one, like a new piece of candy or a differently-shaped house, I will add that to my notes for future reference also.

What you will need

Q&A with Marsbert

cute and nice work. Is this your creation or did you have a pattern?
Marsbert answered:
