What inspired your paper craft project? I'm pleased with how it turned out. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be patient, it takes a whole lot longer than it seems like it should.

  • glue
  • acrylic paint

I can't tell what the petals are being glued to? is it a strip of white paper that they are glued to? I really want to make these, they are beautiful, thank you for sharing this!
ACreativeDream answered:
I cut a thin piece from the edge of the book pages I was making the petals from, just maybe an eighth of an inch wide. Once they were glued to the page, and dried, I simply wound that paper "tape" around the wire, then covered with the florist tape. The painted side of the petals were wound toward the inside too... I chose not to paint the back of them, thought it would give an interesting contrast, but if you prefer, by all means paint both sides.
