Project Description

Q&A with holmar58

Gay Kraeger asked:
I love all the details you have included on this page! We have oak moths that eat all the leaves on our coast live oaks every few years here where I live. It is so weird to see the normally evergreen trees with no leaves, but the trees survive to feed the next cycle of moths.
holmar58 answered:
Thank you Gay...the caterpillars are decreasing in number now...thankfully. I was so saddened because it was a long cold winter, and Spring is my favorite season...I do look forward so much to the rebirth & renewal every Spring...this year, the fresh green of the trees had just leafed out only to be denuded in a couple of days. No shelter for the birds and squirrels...so sad.
