Thanksgiving Banner

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I really loved the way it came out What advice would you give someone starting this project? It's fun, just experiment these banners are great for holidays, birthdays whatever the special occasion is that you are celebrating!

What you will need

  • This was a fun project. I cut the banners from the Cricut Country Life cartridge at 5 1/2". The paper was from the Amber Autumn Stack fall collection. The white ovals and black ovals were cut from my Plantin Schoolbook cart. The white are cut at 1 3/4" and were embossed with my cuttlebug Swiss Dot folder. The black ovals are cut at 2:". The white ruffle around the ovals is crepe paper. I stitched this on my sewing machine about 1/8" from the edge. The machine will gather the crepe paper. This is then hot glued onto the back of the black ovals. I used a low heat glue gun. I put a small amount of white glue around the very edge of each ruffle and sprinkled Martha Stewart glitter on the edges. The font is cut from the Country Life cart at 1 1/4". I used glitter paper from Recollections Signature line. For those using the cricut machine
  • I put my blade depth at 6
  • the pressure at max and I used the multi cut feature cutting each three times. You may want to experiment with your machine. I then used brown ribbon to string the banner. This will be place on my table for Thanksgiving therefore I cut double of everything to decorate the back also. Just remember to use the flip feature for the back of each banner so that it matches up perfectly. I plan to make two topiary flower trees (making the flowers with my cricut) and will tie the banner to each placing this in the center of my Thanksgiving table setting.
