Lace Mat (Tatting)

Project Description

What inspired your project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo The Lace Mat by Norma Benporath Link to website or photo tatsaway.blogspot.com/2012/09/the-lace-mat.html What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you do like me and tat the little outside clovers first, make sure you tie them together or attach them together somehow! I didn't at first and had to redo one that I lost.

What you will need

  • Coats Opera
  • size 20 thread in color 523 (lot #: 7373). A note: I tatted all the little outside clovers first to keep myself from going crazy. I sewed in all the little ends and then tied them together with waste yarn and carried them with me as I did the last round
  • joining where necessary. Jon Yusoff did a wonderful job charting this pattern and held a tat-a-long for it. I didn't finish mine in time
  • but I wouldn't have made one without having the chart or seeing how beautifully everyone's mats turned out.

Q&A with SarahEliz888

erinamelia asked:
WTF how did you make that happen
SarahEliz888 answered:
Lol, this is why I love you, Erin. <3
MissyKay71 asked:
Where can I find this pattern?
SarahEliz888 answered:
http://tatsaway.blogspot.com/2012/09/the-lace-mat.html I used to have links to all the patterns I used on my projects, but Craftsy took away the pattern link/info box which not only means now I have to figure out how to include that information & gift the designers credit, I lost all the links and all the pattern modifications info that I had entered in them already. :( I hope this link helps, though.
