This is a pattern to bead a case for standard playing cards (2 1/2" X 3 1/2"). The design on this case has a star shaped flower design on both the front and the back of the case. The background design is made up of swirls that wrap entirely around the body of the case and the top flap. The photo above of the finished case has a slightly different flower design that I modified to be unique for my sister. The longer photo shows the actual flower design for the pattern. The case body is beaded in tubular peyote stitch. The bottom of the case and the top flap are beaded in flat peyote stitch and zipped onto the completed tube which will then form a rectangular box. This box fits a deck of cards without the card stock box that cards come in. I have included the charts needed to create the case using either of 3 common methods. For color chart users, are a large color chart for each piece. For those who prefer to bead around the pattern tube, are a smaller color chart and instructions to print it to bead size to wrap around a tube and bead. For word chart beaders, are word charts for each piece. To help you print out only the pages you will use, I have included and index page. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Tubular Peyote stitch Flat even count peyote stitch SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 2 3/4" W X 3 3/4" H X 3/4" D

I learned to sew before I went to school. My mother, grandmother and aunt sewed everyday. I ran a needle through my right index finger early on, but have never done it again. I am self taught in many craft fields. My most recent is beadweaving. I think I have finally found my passion. I love the feel and look of tiny cylinder beads worked in peyote stitch into a wonderful mosaic of colorful design. Other beads and other stitches are interesting and lovely.,But beadwoven peyote is what I enjoy most.
