Snails.......How can you not love this slimy little critter! This cute little guy won't wreak havoc in your vegetable garden, I promise. From the picture you might say this project looks quite difficult but it's actually really simple. I'll take you through step by step. The snail shell is made from a wire frame that can be filled with hardy succulents and sedums. Sphagnam moss helps hold the soil inside. This project will take less than an hour to make the wire frame and snail body, but can't be planted up until you've waited for the curing process of approximately 2 weeks. The body is made from Hypertufa, it's lightweight, looks like carved stone and really easy to make. One trip to the hardware or garden store is all you'll need for the materials. Free mushroom directions included. Easy to follow step by step directions (see sample page in photos) Over 40 colour photos How to age your snail (moss grows easily on hypertufa) You'll have so much fun creating this, and I bet you won't wait to show it off. Think of all the wonderful gifts you'll be able to make. This is a 14 page detailed step by step tutorial PDF file book. This will be sent instantly to you through Craftsy. You will need Adobe Reader to open. Read the book directly from your screen or print. Ready to try something new? give it a go.
