Scraplet Skeins Chevron Capelets

Project Description

What was your source for this knitting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Chevron Capelets Link to website or photo www.etsy.com/listing/81989428/new-chevron-capelets-pdf-pattern-from What are you most proud of? When working on Version 1, having never worked with any of these "ruffling" yarns before, I figured out how to use this yarn as a substitute for casting on! (This incidentally makes it very easy to keep the lower edge from being too tight.) What advice would you give someone starting this project? The yarns I used for my samples, particularly the Scraplet Skeins, really do most of the work for you-- the knitting itself is fairly simple. (The Chevron Stitch is a 2-row repeat; worked in the round, this means no purling in this section!) If you'd like to substitute something else for the Scraplet Skeins, I'd recommend a bulky-weight self-striping yarn-- the better to show off your Chevron Stitch! Also, especially for Version 2, make sure you choose a yarn for the neckband that will feel really good next to your skin.
