Rainy Day Scarf

Project Description

What was your inspiration? My friend asked for a scarf and hat and her only instructions were to use "natural" colors. I was mulling it over on my way to work, taking the George Washington Parkway (full of trees and just beside the Potomac River) on a cloudy, misty day. I was marveling at the beauty of the grass and trees, how the cloudy day seems to make the greens more vibrant, and then the ribbon of the grey pavement in front of me plus the mistiness of the sky and I recalled that my friend loves rainy days just for this reason. The idea was born, and I knew what colors I would use. I'm not sure what exactly led me to doing it in brioche. I'm sure I saw some photos on Ravelry and loved the idea of the two-sided colors peeking through each other. So then I had to learn how to do brioche and voila, I googled and found this class.
