Postal Coastal Cardi

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I was able to change a too loose neckline into a nice fitting collar. What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you see a pattern you like, you can always use the stitch pattern using your own measurements and the worksheets to make your own. To avoid "holes" at the raglan seams, I used a M1R and M1L increase rather than a yarn-over. Also, don't be afraid to go several sizes of needle to do a snugger ribbing. Unless you want loose ribbing at the cuffs, collar and lower band, you'll be pleased with the results,

What you will need

  • Elsebeth Lavold Cool Wool - very soft combination of cotton and wool (machine washable!) Sizes 10.5
  • 7 and 5 Denise Circular needles

This looks so cosy and warm :) Well done :)
Carolyn_R answered:
I thought that using "cool wool" would make it wearable in summer, but the yarn is so cuddly soft and the pattern less open than most lace, it will be mostly worn in chilly weather..
ShortRow asked:
Wow! Really great job. I'm truly inspired, as I've had my eye on that cardi for awhile, but was put off by the sizing problems. Looks like this class really paid off. I'm excited about what we all can accomplish.
Carolyn_R answered:
I agree!
