Project

Modified Skywalker

What are you most proud of? I finished it! This my first lace project,, first attempt at chart reading and the most complicated item I have ever made. As I was finishing it, a lady in my quilt group told me she was going to have to undergo Chemo. I finished the shawl and gave it to her to serve as a "soft hug" whenever she needs one. She was delighted and it gve me great pleasure to see it on her. I plan on making my own soon. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Use lifelines!! I ended up using them every 3 or 4 rows but I knew if I made a mistake I could recover--let me be more secure in my knitting.
