Lacy Keyhole Scarf

Project Description

What are you most proud of? This is my very fist knitting project, and I think it turned out pretty well! What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you're a beginner knitter, don't be afraid of this project! Watch and listen carefully to Stefanie's instructions; she's an excellent teacher! This scarf was so much easier to make than I thought possible. I also would not recommend Vanna's Choice (by Lion Brand) yarn; it unravels way too easily (though maybe that was just operator error as I'm new at this!). Keep in mind, too, that with acrylic yarn you'll have to block without steam so as not to melt the fibers.

What you will need

  • 100% acrylic yarn
  • Vanna's Choice by Lion Brand

Just started this course and Im brand new at knitting your beautiful scarf gives me hope that I to can do this!
fossilgirl00 answered:
Thanks! I know you can do this! It looks much more difficult than it actually is (thereby seriously impressing friends and family when you tell them this was your first knitting project). ;) Good luck and have fun!
danabarbieri asked:
This looks great! I am still on trying to get the tension right on my knit stitch but seeing your beautiful scarf gives me hope that maybe I can do it too! :)
fossilgirl00 answered:
Thank you! My tension is far from uniform, but I like how this turned out nonetheless. Yours will be great!
