Jo's Top-Down Maren Icelandic Sweater

What are you most proud of? Not screwing up the steek. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Some people find the armholes tight when following the pattern. Try it on before joining at the underarms and add extra rows if you need to before joining.

Q&A with Jo Miller

Ragga Eiriksdottir asked:
LOVELY!! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Jo Miller answered:
THANK YOU Ragga! I really enjoyed the class, and since this spring is so unseasonably cold, I've been wearing it every day!
KatherineHalber asked:
Beautifully knitted, Icelandic sweater! Did you add extra rows to the armholes? Please, share what size you knit... I keep going back and forth between a 32 or a 34. Going to wash my swatch, to see how much the fabric changes. Concerned to make it too small/not drape well and of making it too big...Interesting to see, that clothing might look, "blah," on somebody, yet going up or down a size, completely changes, "blah," to "wow!" You knit such a marvelous piece-Hope you enjoy wearing it, for many years to come!!
Jo Miller answered:
34. I did not add rows under the arms but probably should have. The sweater holds its shape well (the Lopi is light)), so I wouldn't worry about it stretching over time. Keep trying it on as you go and you can adjust the fit. Thanks!
Joie Symes asked:
what colours are these? Looks strikingly lovely! :)
Jo Miller answered:
Thank you! These are white, mustard, and stone blue heather.
