Hobo Mitts

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I have warm hands when I'm working, or when outside in the Spring or Fall and need just a bit of warmth. They also jazz up an outfit with their color! What advice would you give someone starting this project? These work up quickly and make great gifts. I've also made them with a longer wrist gauntlet, which is also an easy add-on.

What you will need

  • Frog Tree Merino worsted weight yarn OR Frog Tree Alpaca worsted weight yarn Double-point needles #5 & #7 Stitch markers Yarn needle

I love this item, but being a beginner all over again, I don't have a clue where to even start. I knitted about 30 yrs ago and was OK at beginner patterns and really loved it. I would really like to start again on a small project and these "hobo mitts" looked perfect. They are very pretty, and look just perfect to start knitting again.
MargotKnits answered:
Thanks. They are indeed pretty simple. If you can knit, purl and increase, you'll find these a simple project that is incredibly easy to adjust to fit your needs (say, a longer gauntlet for the wrist). I'll do my best to put some directions together for you in the next week or so..
